The SSI Open Water Course’s are a online training course which must be done prior to the start of the practical sessions.
Open Water ISO 24801-2
Course Program
Day 1
Classroom based Theory session
Practical Pool based skills sessions (heated pool used in winter).
Day 2
2 x 45 minute Ocean dives at Bass Point (1st drive 6m) (2nd drive 12m)
Theory Exam
Day 3
18m dive (45 minutes)
Discovery buddy dive (45 minutes)
Inclusions
- Online Training materials
- Use of a complete scuba kit including mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit.
- Classroom training session
- 4 open water training dives
- SSI Certification + ID card.
Prerequisite
- You must be 10 years or older
- Complete a dives medical questionnaire.
- You must be able to swim 200 meters and tread water for 10 minutes.
- 10-12 Years of age Maxium Depth 12 Meters.
We run the Open Water Course the first 2 weekends every month
